One important rule: the 10m³ is for light mixed and green waste only, no bricks, roof tiles, dirt or concrete. Dense waste in a bin this size would blow past truck limits, so heavy loads belong in the 2m³ to 4m³ bins, often booked masonry-only at a cheap flat rate.
The 10m³ can be booked for Mixed Waste (light mixed: general household and light building waste) or Green Waste. No heavy building waste, bricks, roof tiles, dirt or concrete in this size, that’s what the small bins and masonry-only rates are for.
No padded flat rates here. The price of your bin includes delivery, pickup and a set weight allowance, and here’s why that’s better for you:
Light loads pay less. If your load stays under the included 1,500kg, the price on the booking is the price you pay. Nothing extra.
Heavy loads pay their way, not more. Go over the allowance and you only pay for the extra. For mixed waste bins $47.50 per 100kg and for green waste bins $22.50 per 100kg, and we’ll always tell you before it hits your invoice. See the full excess weight charge pricing here.
Volume is where weight pricing shines. Ten cubic metres of furniture, cabinetry, packaging or prunings is bulky but light, so big clear-outs often stay inside the included weight, you get the room without a padded heavy-load price.
